Lloydminster residents are being encouraged to take part in free online suicide prevention training designed to help them recognize warning signs and respond when someone may be in crisis.
The training aims to increase awareness of suicide prevention while providing practical skills to support someone who may be experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm.
Participants will learn how to recognize common warning signs that someone may be at risk, respond using evidence-based approaches, connect individuals with available resources and supports, and build confidence in having conversations about suicide prevention.
Registration will be offered in batches of 50 participants, with a total of 200 training licenses available.
Residents who require assistance accessing the training can contact FCSS at 780-875-6184.
