He said providing modern technological facilities to farmers would help increase the production of high-quality seed paddy, improve productivity and income, and strengthen farmers’ economic conditions by connecting their products with market opportunities. He also appreciated the contribution made by the Dedunu Cooperative Society towards improving the economic and social conditions of farmers in the area. Minister Samantha Vidyarathna, Uva Province Governor Kapila Jayasekara, Badulla District Member of Parliament Sudath Balagalla, the Chairman of the Mahiyanganaya Pradeshiya Sabha, cooperative officials and a large number of members of the Dedunu Cooperative Society attended the event.
