Lack of Motion Kills Parking Plan
[]
WRBI Radio
(Batesville, IN) – A draft ordinance regulating downtown parking died for lack of a motion at Monday night’s Batesville city council meeting.
Council had been considering a two-hour limit for the entire downtown for the past few months.
Council plans to continue gathering information and evaluating potential parking regulations that are more fitting to specific parts of the downtown district.
First reading of the proposed ordinance took place in July.
Companion proposals to amend parking schedules and the placement of required signage also died.
