PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Aug, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police on Tuesday stepped up efforts to strengthen its operational preparedness by providing modern armoured vehicles, utility vehicles, forklifts and motorcycles to police units across the province. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed distributed the vehicles and equipment among district police officers and other senior police officials during a ceremony held here at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines. The equipment package includes modern Dragon APCs, other armoured personnel carriers, bulletproof and Revo vehicles, single- and double-cabin pickups, Hiace vans, 33 forklifts and 25 motorcycles. The 33 forklifts would be used by various districts and units, particularly for traffic management and removal of vehicles causing road blockages. He said 84 APCs were undergoing technological upgrades to enhance their protection and operational performance, adding that the process of equipping the force with modern vehicles and equipment would continue.
