Man charged with assaultA 35-year-old Norfolk County man is facing charges as the result of an assault investigation. Norfolk County OPP were dispatched to Peel Street in Simcoe at about 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, for a reported assault. No injuries were reported, and police later located and arrested the suspect on Young Street in Simcoe. The accused has been charged with assault with a weapon, two counts of fail to comply with probation order, and was held in custody for a bail hearing on Monday, August 10.
