Montrealers are in for a treat as a partial solar eclipse is set to be visible across much of North America Wednesday. The eclipse is set to end at 2:38 p.m.As with a total eclipse, it is essential to protect your eyes using glasses designed for eclipse viewing. The Montreal Planetarium is not organizing a public gathering, as it did for the 2024 total eclipse. Montrealers are also set to experience a partial lunar eclipse later this month. The eclipse will be visible on the night of Aug. 27-28, with about 93 per cent of the moon covered in shadow.
