Special Tribunal demands compliance from Lucky Montana in PRASA corruption case after missing hearing

The preservation order prevents Montana from selling, transferring, leasing, encumbering or otherwise dealing with the properties while the SIU pursues civil recovery proceedings.
Montana was expected to appear before the tribunal on Tuesday to argue why an interim preservation order granted on 8 July should not be made final.
However, the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) said Montana did not appear before the tribunal and instead sent a legal representative.
The dispute centres on two properties which the SIU alleges were acquired using the proceeds of corrupt activities linked to PRASA.
The SIU said its investigation found that Montana’s lawful income could not explain the acquisition of the two properties.
