Parti Québécois (PQ) Leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon says the province’s English-speaking community is ready to back his party in the upcoming elections.
The PQ leader said English-speaking Quebecers agreed with his assessment that the CAQ government is to blame for the housing, affordability and health-care crisis as well as scandals like Northvolt and SAAQclic.
St-Pierre Plamondon said that the “Anglos don’t fear the PQ anymore” and were willing to give the party a chance in the October elections without any mention of his pledge to hold a referendum if elected.
“Public discourse has too often encouraged the mistaken belief that the concerns of French-speaking and English-speaking Quebecers are fundamentally at odds,” he wrote.
Roberts added that the PQ had repeatedly promised to protect the rights of English-speaking Quebecers for decades.
