Researchers from the University of Cambridge are contributing to the AI Materials Foundry, a global network launched by Cambridge-based start-up CuspAI to accelerate the discovery and design of next-generation materials. The Foundry brings together high-quality data, advanced computing, experimental laboratories and scientific expertise to support end-to-end materials discovery, from AI-driven design and simulation through to experimental validation. Cambridge-based founding members include the University and the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre, highlighting the area’s strengths in artificial intelligence, materials science, scientific data and experimental research. We’re delighted to be joined by more than 45 leaders in their fields to advance materials discovery.” In addition to her work with the AI Materials Foundry, Sun has recently secured funding from the Alchemy Frontier Fund for a project that will use generative AI to identify new materials that can be tested.
