The Met Office has put the borough on alert from 9am on Tuesday (August 11) to 9pm on Friday (August 14). GPs and Public Health in Solihull are strongly urging people to take care of themselves and others in the current heat conditions. An amber alert indicates that significant impacts are likely to be felt across the whole health service due to high temperatures, with potential for the entire population to be at risk. Solihull Council said: “Whilst we want everyone to enjoy this warm weather it is important that we all take simple steps to help us stay healthy at this time.
