Yorgen Fenech’s former business associate Johann Cremona told Melvin Theuma in a recorded conversation that Keith Schembri was set to receive “a load of money” through Fenech’s 17 Black, with Cremona saying the payments were to be made “daily”.
Earlier on Tuesday, the court heard an exchange between Cremona and Theuma in which the pair discussed 17 Black and the money allegedly flowing through the company.
Theuma asks Cremona: “He’s got a lot of money coming in from the Power Station and so on, right?”
“Yes, but if they ask for the money… I read that Keith Schembri will be receiving god knows how much monthly,” Theuma says.
Theuma later told the court that he had heard through media reports that former OPM chief of staff Schembri and former minister Konrad Mizzi were expected to receive €5,000 a day through Fenech’s company.
