Deputy Commissioner Tharparkar, Abdul Haleem Jagirani termed the initiative important and said four union councils of the district had initially been included in the program. He stressed the need to expand the initiative to the entire district so that all children of Tharparkar could benefit from it. The chairman of district council Tharparkar, Dr. Ghulam Haider Samejo also assured all possible cooperation to organizations working for public welfare. The chief field officer of UNICEF Sindh, Prem Bahadur Chand, Muhammad Asim and Rizwan Ahmed briefed the participants about the scope of the program, its implementation and the role of relevant institutions. Representatives of various partner organizations including Thardeep, ACTED, Human Appeal, Shifa Foundation and Aga Khan Foundation also attended the meeting.
