“There are 270 people, 117 student athletes and the rest being coaching staff, support staff and student staff, to make it run and go every day,” Wilczewski said. He also helps some of MSU’s football players participate in outreach programs that bring a positive impact on the community. It’s a way of doing things the team got from Dr. Allen Sills, a former MSU graduate and current chief of medical staff for the NFL. “We have 31 (players) total in our elite group, which (can run more than) 21.5 (miles per hour),” Wilczewski said. We have two players running faster than 24 miles an hour, five running faster than 23 and 10 players running faster than 22 miles an hour, so we have a very fast football team.”
