General Purpose Excise Tax funds are optional one-cent sales and use tax revenues allocated annually to nonprofits and governmental agencies who provide a community service.
In March, the Sheridan City Council approved GPET service agreements with 18 agencies for a total of $503,500.
Phorge Executive Director Penny Waller recently provided an update on the organization to the City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger.
Waller says their mission is to foster an environment where youth and adults can create, learn, and collaborate using tools, technology and community.
