He said that FDA Complex and buildings of its subordinate offices had been tastefullyilluminated with electric lights in connection with Independence Day celebrations,creating a festive atmosphere ahead of August 14. Therefore, Independence Day provided an opportunity not only to pay tribute to themartyrs of Pakistan Movement and national heroes but also to remind every citizenof their responsibility towards national development, he added. The FDA DG further said that central Independence Day ceremony, featuring the hoistingof national flag and cutting of Independence Day cake, would be held at sports Complexin FDA City. FDA officers and employees would participate in the ceremony where a salute would bepresented to national flag and the participants would renew their pledge of loyalty andcommitment to Pakistan, he added. The DG urged all FDA officers and employees to participate actively in the celebrationsand further strengthen their resolve to perform their official responsibilities with a spiritof national service.
