Phek, August 11 (MExN): The Phek District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has reviewed the status of road connectivity and vehicular movement across the district during its monthly meeting held on August 10. Er Vikerhe Venyo (EE, PWD R&B, Phek Div), Er Daniel (EE, PWD R&B, Pfutsero Div), and Er Yimkumwati Pongon (EE, PWD/NH-29, Pfutsero-Chozuba) detailed their departments' continuous maintenance efforts. In a key decision, the board unanimously agreed to recommend the establishment of a Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan in Phek district to higher authorities for final approval, following a brief deliberation on the proposal. The meeting also addressed the Local Area Development Programme (LADP) schemes for the current financial year 2026-27. DPO, LRD Phek, Agnes W. Phewhuo highlighted various development schemes being undertaken in the district and shared the challenges faced by her department.
