A Kingston man was arrested early Saturday after police said a dispute on Downs Street left two people with severe cuts to their arms.
Miguel Chub Tiul, 40, was charged with attempted first-degree assault and second-degree assault, both felonies, according to the Kingston Police Department.
Police said officers responded to Downs Street during the early morning hours of Aug. 8 for a report of an adult man with an arm laceration.
Officers found two people with severe lacerations and located a third person farther down the street.
The second-degree assault charge cited by police applies under state law to intentionally causing physical injury with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.
