A 27-year-old Indian man from Paola has died following a fatal traffic accident in Triq Tal-Ħandaq, Qormi. The accident happened at around 11:45am, when the victim was driving a Toyota Toyace truck that was involved in a collision with a DAF CF85 driven by a 39-year-old man from Tarxien. Members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team were called to the scene. Sadly, the 27-year-old was certified dead on site. Magistrate Monica Borg Galea has opened an inquiry, while Police investigations, together with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA), are ongoing.
