A 24-year-old Wallkill man has been charged in connection with a July hit-and-run crash in Saugerties that later claimed the life of a Mount Marion motorcyclist, New York State Police said. Investigators said a 2013 Honda traveling east continued through the intersection against a traffic signal and struck the motorcycle. Richter was thrown into the roadway, while the Honda continued east into the Village of Saugerties without stopping, according to police. State Police investigators later identified Godwin and the Honda as being involved in the crash, police said. Godwin is scheduled to appear in Saugerties Town Court at 3 p.m. Aug. 26.
