The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has formally handed over the Digital Industrial Park (DIP) and Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) facilities to the Enugu State Government as part of efforts to accelerate digital transformation and strengthen the state’s technology ecosystem.
The development marks a major milestone in the partnership between the Federal Government, through the NCC, and the Enugu State Government to promote digital innovation, technology skills development and industrial growth.
Also present at the ceremony were the Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia, and the Secretary of the NCC, Mr. G.T.
The NCC-Enugu partnership is expected to contribute to the growth of the state’s digital ecosystem while creating an enabling environment for technology-led businesses, innovation and industrial development.
As Nigeria continues to deepen its digital economy, the handover of the Digital Industrial Park and Digital Bridge Institute facilities is another step towards empowering local communities with the infrastructure and skills required to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
