For the Deokaran family, her legacy is cemented in the bust and is also a measure of her courage and integrity in executing her job. She believed South Africa could be better. At the event, KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli called on those present to honour Deokaran's legacy by taking a proactive role in the fight against crime and corruption across government and society.
