Normal firefighters will take to the streets Thursday and Friday to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association through the annual “Fill the Boot” campaign. Off-duty firefighters will be stationed at the intersection with boots in hand to collect cash and card donations from motorists. The fundraiser is part of a decades-long partnership between the International Association of Fire Fighters and MDA. Local 2442 represents firefighters, engineers and lieutenants of the Normal Fire Department.
