CH NEWS, MANGALURUThe menace of wild elephants continues in the Dugaladka, Kandadka, Neerbidire and Koikuli areas of Sullia Nagar Panchayat. As a precautionary measure, a holiday was declared for the school on Monday after elephants roamed around the Koikuli school premises on Sunday morning. The Forest Department has promised to deploy staff for the safety of children during the school period. In the wake of the fear of wild elephants, especially on forest roads, parents have been advised not to send children to school alone, but to accompany their children to school. Similarly, even after school ends in the evening, parents should come to school and take their children home with them.
