Raizado Festival will return to downtown Aspen from Aug. 21 to 22 for its fifth year, bringing together Latino leaders, artists, activists and culinary talent. When we started the festival in 2020, we didn’t even know if it was going to happen. Ramirez, known for her advocacy for migrant farmworkers, prefers the gender-neutral term “Latine” to describe the culture. The festival will screen United We Dream’s “Just Flavors,” followed by a conversation with Sandoval, United We Dream Executive Director Greisa Martinez Rosas and “Just Flavor’s” contestant Karime Rodriguez. The festival will conclude with the annual ICON Awards, honoring leaders making an impact across industries.
