A 2025 report from the World Economic Forum estimates that by 2030, emerging technologies could displace about 92 million jobs worldwide. However, it also states that the same technologies could create 170 million new jobs, i.e. a net gain of 78 million jobs globally. The second rung of employment will be in another form of AI that is only just coming up – embodied AI, aka robotics with AI.
