This situation exemplifies once more the often-mentioned current low point in Israeli-Turkish relations. Thus, this analysis calls for a dualistic Israeli foreign policy approach by extending an open hand and a fist towards Ankara. Their collective experience in dealing with “the other side” might be an important trust base on which future Israeli-Turkish relations can operate. Germany and the Azerbaijani-Led Mediation Efforts in the Strained Israeli-Turkish Relations: Germany should be considered an additional pillar of support for these mediation efforts. Therefore, similar to Azerbaijan, an escalation of the current Israeli-Turkish relations might also put Germany in a very precarious position.
