SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Aug, 2026) The District Police organized a special ceremony to honour thalassemia fighters and special children as part of Independence Day celebrations on Tuesday. Police officers and representatives of various social organizations attended the event, while thalassemia fighters and children from a special education school were the guests of honour. The children presented performances during the ceremony, adding to the celebrations. Superintendent Police Investigation Imran Abbas Chadhar also attended the event and in his address, said the true spirit of freedom and happiness lay in bringing smiles to the faces of innocent children. At the conclusion of the ceremony, SP Investigation Imran Abbas Chadhar cut an Independence Day cake with the children and distributed gifts among them.
