I cannot vote in Israeli elections, nor should I tell Israelis which political party deserves their support. I defend Israel’s right to exist, challenge misinformation, and promote a truthful image of the country abroad. Benjamin Netanyahu became prime minister because Israeli voters gave him that mandate. The issues confronting Israeli voters could hardly be more consequential. It is that, once the votes are counted and coalition agreements are signed, Israelis remember a simple truth: every political party serves Israel, but Israel serves no political party.
