THE Motor Trade Association of South Australia and the Northern Territory (MTA SA/NT) has celebrated 100 years of automotive excellence at an evening dinner and panel discussion at Adelaide’s SkyCity ballroom. The landmark MTA chair’s centenary dinner brought together key political figures, industry leaders, board members, life members and MTA members to honour a century of heritage and look toward the future. The panel brought together MTA SA/NT CEO Darrell Jacobs alongside MTA life members George Bolton and Richard Flashman AM to reflect on the trade’s incredible evolution. The legacy was particularly poignant for George Bolton, whose father, George Bolton Sr, served as one of the MTA’s founding board members in 1926. Reflecting on the storied history of the MTA SA/NT during the panel discussion, George Bolton Jnr said: “Members have always had an implicit trust in the MTA.
