RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Aug, 2026) Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Usman Shaukat has welcomed the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, describing it as an important development for regional peace, stability and collective security. He said the agreement reflected the strong brotherly ties among the three countries and provided a framework for enhanced cooperation against emerging security challenges. He said lasting peace and security were essential for sustainable economic growth, investment, trade and regional connectivity, adding that a stable and secure region created opportunities for businesses, strengthened investor confidence and opened new avenues for economic cooperation. The RCCI president said Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye had considerable potential to expand bilateral and trilateral trade, investment, technology cooperation, tourism and business-to-business linkages. He expressed hope that the Makkah agreement would contribute to a more secure, peaceful and prosperous region and help foster stronger economic partnerships among the three countries.
