GWM has opened a parts distribution centre in Perth, its third for the nation and one that GWM believes will make parts availability and delivery quicker while reducing back orders.
The Western Australia parts distribution centre (PDC) is part of a multi-million-dollar investment in the brand’s national aftersales network and is held under a multi-year lease agreement.
In opening the PDC, GWM said the facility strengthens the company’s support for its growing dealer network across WA by improving parts availability, reducing delivery lead times and enabling overnight delivery of stocked parts to dealers across the region.
“The new centre will help reduce vehicle servicing and repair wait times while providing faster support for customers requiring urgent replacement parts,” it said.
The WA PDC has more than 1100 SKUs (part descriptions) and over 30,000 individual parts, representing more than $1 million in inventory.
