by Jackie NunneryIRVINGTON—It is the final push of activity as Lancaster teachers, staff and administrators prepare for the 2026-27 school year which begins for students on Monday, August 10. Lancaster High SchoolThe anticipation is perhaps highest at the new Lancaster High School at 100 Visionary Way in Irvington, welcoming approximately 479 students in grades 7 through 12. Students are inspired to follow the “Red Devil Way,” a focus on skill development, work ethic, and character. Myers also intends to align goals with the division’s strategic plan with its focus on student achievement, improving student post-secondary success and parental and community involvement. One of the ways the high school will focus on student achievement is introducing a “modified 4×4 schedule” in 2026-27.
