A climber who injured their right ankle in the Maroon Bells area was successfully rescued by Mountain Rescue Aspen on Sunday from North Maroon. Mountain Rescue Aspen was notified and deployed multiple teams to assist with the rescue, according to the release. Rescuers were able to make contact with the injured subject at 8:50 p.m., who was then assessed by Mountain Rescue Aspen personnel. Members of Mountain Rescue Aspen rescued an injured climber Sunday, Aug. 9, in the Maroon Bells area. All Mountain Rescue Aspen teams were back at the trailhead parking area by 11:32 p.m. Sixteen Mountain Rescue Aspen members were part of the mission, which lasted a total of six hours.
