LAYYAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Aug, 2026) Shahid alias “Kali Bad,” who is described by police sources as a notorious motorcycle thief, was allegedly injured and arrested during an encounter with the Crime Control Department (CCD) in Layyah. According to police sources, the CCD team was conducting an operation when the suspect allegedly opened fire at the police party. During the alleged encounter, Shahid sustained injuries and was taken into custody by the police. Police said the arrested suspect was being interrogated, while investigations were also underway to verify his previous criminal record and alleged involvement in motorcycle theft cases. Police officials said further legal proceedings were in progress and that additional facts would emerge after completion of the investigation.
