The Bay Area by RV: Golden Gate to Wine Country
['Motorhome Republic']
Motorhome Republic
Either way, you're in San Francisco, the festival is calling, and you're not quite ready to do the whole "hotel room" thing.
Instead, pick up a RV in San Francisco, point it north across the Golden Gate Bridge, and trade city streets for coastal cliffs, redwood forests, and rolling vineyard hills.
It's a food festival too; over 100 Bay Area restaurants set up shop, so you're eating your way through the park between sets.
Day 4–6: Sonoma Valley: Wine Country, UnpluggedNow you head inland, away from the coast and into the rolling golden hills of Sonoma Valley.
Camping in wine country:Expect to pay $40–60/night at private RV parksSome wineries allow overnight parking if you book a tasting.
