Multi-award-winning civil, structural and conservation engineering consultancy Will Rudd has completed its work on the landmark redevelopment of Edinburgh’s King’s Theatre, bringing to a close several years of complex engineering on one of Scotland’s most iconic cultural venues.
Shirley Evatt, Senior Associate at Will Rudd Edinburgh, said: “Working with historic buildings requires a thoughtful and collaborative approach from the earliest stages of a project.
“Projects like this demonstrate the importance of thoughtful engineering in supporting the refurbishment and continued use of historic buildings while respecting their architectural character and significance.
The King’s Theatre adds to Will Rudd’s strong portfolio of work on historic and culturally significant buildings across Scotland.
Recent projects include the Nelson Monument and The Edinburgh Futures Institute in Edinburgh, as well as Love Loan in Glasgow, demonstrating the practice’s experience in delivering structural engineering solutions within complex existing structures.
