Regulatory excellence means seeking to maintain the utmost integrity in what they do, seeking stellar competence, and seeking empathic engagement. And this means that regulators need to be at the top of their game. I think regulatory excellence is ultimately people excellence. But you can have automation without artificial intelligence, and you can have artificial intelligence without automation.
