AES Indiana has agreed to provide roughly $1.3 billion for three new projects and upgrades associated with Google’s 390-megawatt Monrovia data center. The dispute centers in part on a proposed $73.8 million transmission line. Citizens Action Coalition argues Google should cover the full cost, citing utilities’ voluntary Ratepayer Protection Pledge. The provider argued the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission does not have authority over route selection.
