Rex E. Baer, 69, rural Wabash, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, at home. He was born April 4, 1957, in Marion, to Donald W. “Doc” and Willamae (Wearly) Baer. His wife, Patricia (Meston) Baer, whom he married June 29, 1979, survives. He also is survived by his daughter, Mallory (Bobby) Lynn, Wabash; three granddaughters; siblings, Ron (Rhonda) Baer, Wabash, John (Theresa) Baer, Urbana, Kevin (Jolene) Baer, Urbana, and Teresa Miller, Wabash; and several nieces and nephews. Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, is handling arrangements.
