Recent storm knocks out power at Southbury horse farm for about 24 hours

A Southbury horse farm is recovering after Friday’s storm knocked out power for about 24 hours, leaving its owners scrambling to keep their horses cool and hydrated in the heat.
Brushy Hill Farms lost power during the storm, cutting off the fans used to help keep the horses comfortable.
WATCH HERE WATCH HERE“The horses just wouldn’t have water and because of the immense heat, they wouldn’t have their fans," she said.
Power was eventually restored after about 24 hours, bringing relief to the farm.
“I had looked out and I saw all this water coming down Coachmans Drive and into our property," Lindeborn said.
