A former campaign manager for a Ventura County supervisor was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism after said he damaged campaign signs belonging to former Board of Supervisors candidate Mark Perryman. On Aug. 3, the Ventura County Sheriff ’s Office arrested 25-year-old Blake Davis, who served as campaign manager for District 2 Supervisor Jeff Gorell’s 2026 reelection campaign from March to June. “I learned on Monday that a young man who served as a manager on my recent reelection campaign has been accused of vandalizing another candidate’s campaign signs in June,” Gorell said in an email. Perryman said he was limited in what he could say about the destruction of his campaign signs, but did voice confidence in the justice system. Ventura County Sheriff’s Office records indicate he is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on Aug. 18.
