Twenty-seven artists and three galleries will open their studios to the public and give visitors the opportunity to take an intimate look at the spaces, materials and processes behind their creative minds. Visitors are encouraged to follow the “Art Here” signs across the island and step inside the studios of Jamestown’s artists. The self-guided tour allows visitors to explore Jamestown at their own pace, moving between individual studios and shared gallery spaces throughout. Christine Cocca, executive director of the arts center, said the event “celebrates the extraordinary talent within our island community while creating meaningful opportunities for artists and visitors to connect.” “Visiting an artist’s studio offers a perspective that simply cannot be replicated in a traditional gallery setting,” Cocca said.
