Failure to yield results in auto-pedestrian accident in Tooele City

At approximately 11:45 a.m. on July 29, 2026, the Tooele City Police Department’s officers were dispatched to the intersection of 400 North and 100 East after receiving reports of an auto pedestrian accident.
The driver then collided with the pedestrian which as a result of the collision, knocked him out of his wheelchair.”
The 41-year-old male, who was found in the roadway when officers arrived on scene, had received non-life threatening injuries, but was transported to a nearby hospital by emergency medical personnel due to him having abrasions on one of his arms.
Sgt Bentley added the driver of the truck stayed on scene and cooperated with TCPD throughout their investigation.
