Aberdeen’s Wood has received a fresh contract from Norwegian major Equinor covering nearly 100 assets across its home country. Under the three-year deal, Wood will provide lifecycle information (LCI) services including offshore installations, subsea sites and onshore plants. Wood will manage technical information updates, maintain LCI records and oversee data within Equinor’s system for technical information and documentation (STID) platform. Wood interim senior vice-president for Norway Tom Johansson said: “This agreement reflects the strength of our long-standing relationship with Equinor and our shared focus on improving how critical technical information is managed across complex assets. And last month saw the death of the company’s founder, Ian Wood, who founded the company in 1982 and developed it into one of the UK’s biggest energy services firms.
