The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) has launched an internal investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct involving its personnel during a routine patrol in Barangay Ma-a, Talomo District. DCPO director PCOL Peter B. Madria ordered the inquiry following a social media post where a female complainant alleged that she was treated disrespectfully by responding officers while being cited for a local violation. While acknowledging the anti-vaping enforcement, the complainant alleged that the officer involved exhibited unprofessional behavior during the apprehension. In response, the police leadership has ordered the officer involved to submit a formal explanation to determine if protocols or administrative standards were breached. The DCPO assured the public that the investigation will remain fair, objective, and compliant with PNP regulations.
