Real estate investment firm Gencom is reorganizing into two different business lines, with new hires and promotions to match.
The reorganization splits the firm, which has $8 billion in assets under management, into Gencom Capital and Gencom Real Estate, with CEO and founder Karim Alibhai continuing to steer both ships, according to Gencom.
“Successful real estate platforms are built by combining disciplined investing with exceptional execution,” Alibhai said in a statement.
Gencom Capital will be led by Chief Investment Officer Alessandro Colantonio, who will handle capital markets, portfolio management and capital allocation.
Jake Lynch was hired as senior vice president of asset management for Gencom Real Estate.
