School is in session in the Bronx, or at least it will be. Kiumarz Geula, principal of real estate development firm Pillar Property Management, has filed plans with the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) to build a seven-story school building at 1000 University Avenue in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx. Jonathan Imani of IMC Architecture, the registered architect on the project, also did not immediately respond to CO’s request for comment. The DOB plans have few details about the scope of the work coming to the vacant Bronx property. Pillar Property Management isn’t the only developer planning to bring a new school building to the Bronx.
