A film crew is spreading across the city this summer for 27 days of shooting for “Friend Thing,” a feature film starring Alfie Williams and Ryan Kiera Armstrong. AdvertisingThe “Friend Thing” movie production landed in the University District and local parks and neighborhoods last week, but neither Calbom nor the city of Seattle (which permits filming on public property) disclosed filming locations to The Seattle Times. Overall, he’s stoked to be featured in a distinctly Seattle movie.
