It will help low-income Americans and will help President Trump and the GOP win the midterms. Also, DOJ should start an anti-Trust, Sherman act and price gouging investigation of oil and gas companies and refiners, similar to the investigation of meat-packing plants, when they were gouging prices. Crude oil went up only about 15%, while gasoline prices went up about 30%, which is a sign of price hiking and gouging. At 15% increase, which it should be, the gasoline price would be around $3.50, not $4.00 per gallon.
