The local election scene is starting to take place with the filing period for local elections ending Friday, August 7. Valley Center Municipal Water District, Div. Incumbent Steven Hutchison has filed papers to run again in Valley Center Fire Protection District Div. They include Lisa Houlf Adams, an incumbent, Susan Fajardo, incumbent, Steven Hutchison, incumbent, Mordi Iheme, a retired chemical engineer, Matt Matthews, incumbent, Lavonne Norwood, incumbent.
